Job Description

? Mapping exercise to identify existing global initiatives, policies, strategies, available funds, and other related information for gender-responsive heat adaptation from various stakeholders, including donor and developing member country governments, development partners, NGOs, and CSOs through desk research, and interviews as necessary.

? Analysis to identify comparative advantages of ADB, recommendations for heat adaptation mainstreaming, and key areas of potential cooperation with partners based on the findings from mapping exercise.

? Creating a database to consolidate all information collected from the mapping exercise, maintain, and regularly update in a common folder.

? Final report: The intern will compile the results in a report, to be presented in a seminar/workshop. The report will present key findings, the result of the mapping exercise, and recommendations for ADB’s engagement with potential partners on gender-responsive heat adaptation.

? Other tasks as assigned and agreed upon.

Education Requirements

? Enrolled in a Master's- or PhD-level program at a school in one of the ADB member countries, prior to and after the internship assignment;

? Engaged in academic study in gender study, international development, climate change, environmental science or a related field.
